Evaluation

The Machine Evaluation Service is a one-day (up to 10 hours) service visit by a Douglas factory technician to thoroughly evaluate your machine. Our technician will evaluate the systems/components listed below and, where possible, correct issues found (labor only). They will also provide basic operator and maintenance training.
The Machine Evaluation Service includes a report of the issues discovered with a recommended parts list (ordered separately) to bring your machine to OEM specifications. The report and parts list are submitted to you after the technician’s return to the Douglas factory. Generous discounts are offered on any parts ordered from the recommended list.

Machine Evaluation Service includes the following (if applicable)

• Inspect all utility connections to the machine to assure they are connected properly
• Where possible and as time permits, repair of issues found (labor only)
• Provide basic operator and maintenance training on your specific machine

Inspect all washer subsystems including:

• Electrical system components and control components
• Door switches, float switches, solenoids, gauges, pressure/temperature sensors
• Gas, steam, or electric water heating system(s)
• Complete washer cabinet, drains, floor, and door(s)
• Water supply NSF manifold, piping, and stationery/oscillating spray piping/jets
• Rotating wash hub, wash arm assemblies, and jets
• Recirculating pre-wash & wash tanks
• Pre-wash and wash pump(s)/motor(s)
• Rinse tank and rinse pump/motor
• Sanitizing rinse system
• Filtration components
• Steam exhaust fan(s)/motor(s)
• Racks, hold downs, conveyor belts, guide tubes
• Loading/loading components
• Drive components, bearings, shafts, gears, clutches

Rebuilds

A machine rebuild is performed by one or more Douglas factory technicians and is generally performed subsequent to the machine evaluation service.  As a rebuild costs only a fraction of a new machine, many of our customers choose this quicker, lower cost alternative.

This service includes a fixed price rebuild of your machine to bring it back to OEM specifications, plus factory operator/maintenance training to keep your machine running efficiently for years to come. We offer flexibility to work around your production schedules. Where applicable, we also offer to upgrade the controls to the latest generation.

The machine rebuild comes with a 90-day warranty on all parts replaced and labor performed.  Discounts are offered at the time of quotation and are based on the value of the rebuild.
