Douglas Machines’ cyclone belt washers are designed to remove fats, sugars, allergens and oils from a wide variety of open mesh conveyor, freezer and oven belts while saving water, labor and chemicals. Units consist of a portable or fixed cart and a patented, motorized spray head. The spray head is matched to the width of the belt and provides complete coverage by adjusting the speed of rotation.

An optional catch pan can be mounted under the belt to collect water and route it to drain. Water use is just 3 to 4 gallons per minute at 1500 to 2000 psi. One pass at 20 to 30 fpm is normally all that is needed to clean both the top and bottom of the belt with the shearing action of opposing spray nozzles. This shearing action cleans without the use of chemicals. If desired, a pressure blower with two or three air knives is available to aid in drying. One cart with multiple spray heads for different belt widths can be moved to various locations throughout the facility.
